The Sphere of Memories

Starlight Amazons is a retro-futurist space opera set in a universe where beauty, order and progress have been carefully engineered, and quietly broken.

The story opens with Lyra, a young woman living with a worsening illness that no system seems willing, or able, to truly treat. As her condition deteriorates, Kyra, a disciplined and battle-hardened leader, keeps their crew together while searching for answers that medicine, politics and technology all refuse to provide.

Their journey carries them across exploited worlds, abandoned marvels and vast machines built to stabilise civilisation whatever the cost. What they uncover is not a single villain or failure, but a universe that has learned to manage suffering instead of preventing it, and calls that balance.

Blending pulp science fiction adventure, Victorian brass futurism and elemental mythology, Starlight Amazons is a story about endurance, chosen family and what happens when a body in pain becomes impossible to ignore.

Artwork Progress

Sketches evolve with colour and detail. Ideas are planned, not the story is mostly written, locations and scenes can be planned. Using Clip Studio I can place all the text in each page and workout frames for the images, which images have priority over others, what moment need focus.

Character Profiles

A Story Needs characters, these have taken some time to develop, i created characters BEFORE the story, giving them roles on the ship, then as i wrote i know who would be doing what, and then that brought on new characters as i went, som main focused, some just one scene side characters, but who knows, in the future their roles may be bigger, I wanted the amazons to be a big team, just not all of them are front of stage for this story.

The story has been written, its on v13, written in a page and speak format with notes on actions and imagery, so this story can be told with images and speech alone, minimal captioning.
