Sketches
Early pencil sketches revealing raw character forms.

Why I'm Making this
I have always had ideas.
Worlds. Characters. Technology. Conversations. Scenes that played out in my head long before I knew how to turn them into something real.
Starlight Amazons is my decision to stop waiting until I feel ready.
This project exists because I want to learn by building. I want to move from imagination to execution and see what happens when a single creator tries to design, write and build a full graphic novel.
It is a big challenge, but that is exactly what makes it exciting.

Writing the Story
The world, characters and narrative of Starlight Amazons are entirely my own.
I also have dyslexia, which means getting ideas from my head onto the page can sometimes be messy. Early drafts can be rough, with spelling mistakes or sentences that are gibberish and need reorganising before the ideas come across clearly.
Because of that I sometimes use editing tools to help tidy early drafts, catch mistakes and improve the clarity of the writing.
The story itself is written through multiple drafts and revisions. Scenes evolve over time as dialogue, pacing and character moments are refined.
Feedback also plays an important role. Friends, readers and early reviewers occasionally look at sections of the project and offer reactions or suggestions. Fresh eyes often catch things I miss, and that input helps strengthen the story.
The final decisions about the narrative, characters and direction of the universe always come from me, but the process of refining a story benefits greatly from thoughtful feedback and discussion.
Creating a graphic novel involves much more than writing. It includes worldbuilding, visual development, character design and page composition.
During this project I am experimenting with different creative approaches to explore environments, lighting, costumes and scene composition while developing the story.
Many ideas do not work the first time. Some come close. A few eventually match the image that originally existed only in my head.
That process of testing, refining and rebuilding ideas is part of how the world of Starlight Amazons is taking shape.
Building The Universe
Building a project like this involves a range of creative tools, including writing software, digital art platforms and visual design tools.
These systems help with tasks such as editing text, exploring visual concepts and laying out pages, but they are only part of the production process. Every scene, character and story decision is developed and directed by me.
The goal of the project is not just to finish a graphic novel, but to understand how modern creative tools can support a single creator building a large science fiction universe.
Starlight Amazons is the destination.
Learning how to build it along the way is part of the journey.
